Winter is the new Fall
UCC has many programs that accommodate a Winter start. Starting college in the Winter is just as good as any other time. In fact, any program can be started year round! Take a look at the following list of sample programs:

Starting prerequisites now will help you to be ready for taking core or specialized classes. Prerequisite classes in math, reading, writing, and science are usually available every term! That makes it easy to start college anytime.
Certain core classes may only be offered once per year. If you have not fulfilled the prerequisites to take core classes, you could lose valuable time by having to wait until they are offered again.
Completing prerequisites is especially important for some programs that are comprised of only core classes like Nursing and Dental Assisting.
High School Students
If you are in high school, you can complete prerequisites for any program as a dual credit student. Dual credit students attend high school and UCC at the same time. So you earn high school and college credit. High school years are a great time to work on college prerequisites.
Plus, as a dual credit student, you can complete core classes too. Some dual credit students have graduated high school with an Associate degree!
Returning to College
If you are returning to college after a long break or starting college after finishing high school many years ago, taking a few prerequisite courses NOW will help you ease into college. Apply to UCC now.
Of course, after you apply to UCC, it's a good idea to brush up on your skills before taking placement tests. Spending some hours brushing up on your math, reading, and writing skills can save you months of time.
